OFF TOPIC: Job help - Transitioning out of the military

I will be getting out of the Marine Corps after serving 8 years. I have a background in administration and avionics technical repair along with all the other qualities that are instilled. After submitting multiple applications, I am having a difficult time even finding a company that is interested in interviewing me. Although preferring to live in Houston or Lansing, location isn't of much importance. Any possible advice or assistance would be appreciated.
