Couple of additional notes
- Bachie is closer to 6-3 than 6-2 according to his high school coach. He is listed at 215, but he is up to 225.
- I am told that Bachie is a heck of a baseball player. I think he hit a couple of home runs the other night.
- His high school coach didn't want to make a big deal out of the WMU thing, but it was pretty obvious that the reason he committed initially was a very high-pressure sales job from PJ Fleck. There has been a lot of chatter about the way Fleck recruits. He's gotten results, but the way he goes about putting on the hard sell can be bad for business in the long run.
- Honestly, I am surprised that Northwestern didn't make him a priority for the Super Back position. Its hard to offer on the basis of three games as an unattached tight end, but he is a guy that has good ball skills.
- Its hard to find guys with a great motor and a great computer, which is why I think Bachie is a good fit for the Mike linebacker position. As Matt and others have pointed out, however, a guy with that frame can project at a lot of different positions. I would not be surprised to see his future include potential looks at FB or DE.
