As expected, it looks like Michigan State’s plan is to start redshirt freshman Katin Houser at quarterback. Houser will step in for redshirt junior Noah Kim, who has struggled over the past three games.

@mattsheehan reported that this was the expectation on his Locked On Spartans podcast last week, and interim head coach Harlon Barnett was vague about it at his weekly press conference earlier this week, but reading between the lines, it seemed likely MSU would be going with Houser. Now ESPN college football senior writer Pete Thamel is also reporting that Houser will draw his first-career start today.
