Currently, Lyke isn't ranked on the Illinois Top 25. However, he has had his stock go up significantly. In Illinois, there are only 6 - 4 Stars. Kenney just missed getting 4 Stars (he was the 26th ranked safety, and the 25 above him are all 4 Stars.
The 7th through 10th ranked recruits in Illinois are all rated 3 Star, 5.7 rating. I am guessing that Lyke will end up somewhere in that group on the next ranking of the state. Josh King is rated #1 in Illinois, and Naquan Jones is # 5. Mike Panasiuk is #15, and he may move up a little.
The reason this is important is because MSU has incredible momentum in Illinois. If our 4 recruits are all rated highly in the state, we will get the attention of top recruits in the classes of 2017 and beyond in that state.
