...since Lloyd Carr retired, um has gone 4-1 or better to start the season five of the last eight years!
2008 start 2-3 end 3-9.. Rich Rod
2009 start 4-1 end 5-7.. Rich Rod
2010 start 5-0 end 7-6.. Rich Rod
2011 start 6-0 end 11-2.. hoke
2012 start 5-2 end 8-5.. hoke
2013 start 5-0 end 7-6.. hoke
2014 start 2-4 end 5-7.. hoke
2015 start 4-1 end ??... jh
Since Carr retired, his replacements were described as "great" by many.
Good case for Rodriguez, but hoke......afraid not.
I'm not convinced jh is great by any standard [e.g. had Andrew Luck at Stanford and a good GM at San Fran].
This is only jh's 5th season at the FBS level. His record at Stanford was 29-21 with only one excellent year. His other tenure was at FCS San Diego [Pioneer Football League FCS]!!!
Right now a vast majority of college football believes that um has risen from the grave. I say, "Not so fast!"
I hope I am correct. Just look at history.
