Ok I'm gonna throw it out there after watching all 4 of each of our games MSU and Michigan. If we played tonight at 8pm Which team wins. I know we have injuries but so do they. Lets assume we get everyone back but Copeland and Davis. Here is how I see the game right now:
MSU Special teams vs Michigan Michigan +1
-MSU special teams have not been good in fact D+ is what I give them
- UofM special teams solid B
MSU Defense vs Michigan Michigan +1
-MSU Defense has played with a C overall. We all thought the Oregon game confirmed another very good MSU defense. After the Utah game Oregon has been exposed. We gave up chunks in yardage vs Western, Central and Airforce. This aint the same D we have been used to injuries or not.
-Michigan on the other hand has played the tougher schedule than us, by a significant amount. Utah thrashed Oregon, and BYU was a quality team and Michigan shut them out. We couldn't even shut out Central.
Michigan has better corners. Safeties are a wash. MSU defensive line is superior to Michigans in pass rush. In run support as of right now I give Michigan a slight edge.
MSU Offense vs Michigan Even
Michigan has scored roughly the same points we have. Again vs higher quality opponants. But watching the games I get the feeling we have the better Running backs, they may have the better receivers, although Burbridge is better than anyone they have. But they have 3 quality we have 2.
TE not sure on this one, but I give Michigans Butt the edge over Price.
Offensive line - here is where it gets interesting. Michigans line was supposed to be weak but its not. Its better than expected. I still give us the edge here but the gap is small.
Game played at 8pm tonight. Michigan thrashes the MSU defense through the air for 330 yards, they rush for 125 yards.
MSU Gaines 280 through the air and rushes for 135 yards.
Our special teams has several break downs giving Michigan better field position all game.
Michigan 31 MSU 30. As much as it pains me to say it. Just sayin.
