Spartans, The generous support of the Spartan community is a core element in the success of Michigan State athletics. I am incredibly grateful for the resources you provide to positively impact our programs, coaches, and, most importantly, our student-athletes. I want to publicly thank Greg and Dawn Williams for their leadership with the Spartan Nation NIL Collective. Beyond their own generous gifts, they’ve encouraged others to follow their lead. As a result, Michigan State boasts one of the stronger collectives in the country, providing the resources necessary to attract and retain top talent. I’m also incredibly grateful to Steve St. Andre for his contributions in the NIL space. Beyond that, there are many individuals who have stepped forward to ensure that Michigan State is equipped with the resources to compete at a high level. Change is coming in college athletics, and in my October community letter, I provided some detail about what that would mean for Michigan State athletics. Beginning July 1, 2025, Michigan State will provide approximately $20.5 million in revenue sharing directly to student-athletes. Until July 1, however, Spartan Nation NIL remains paramount to our success and the most direct way to support our programs and student-athletes. You can contribute today at SpartyNIL.com. Even as changes are coming to college athletics, I believe Michigan State will remain a leader on the national landscape. Your continued philanthropy will play a major role in our ongoing success as we look to improve in all aspects of our department. To everyone who has made a contribution in support of Spartan athletics, whether it’s to the department or NIL, I offer my sincere gratitude. Together, we will strive to be the best! Go Green! |
