I spoke with Larry Caper Sr. earlier tonight. He coaches Brandon Randle in track and as an assistant in football. Coach Caper described Brandon as a hard-working kid with big upside. He said he was coachable and goal-oriented. He told me that Brandon would be an asset to the Spartan football program as he develops at linebacker. He comes from a track family. His mom and several aunts and uncles have been collegiate track athletes. His grandfather was also a decorated sprinter. Brandon is the first scholarship football player in the family.
Caper Sr. indicated that Brandon always wanted to play for Michigan State. He also said that his commitment to Michigan State is a proud day for the Battle Creek community as well as the Spartan family.
