From Bafoulabe to East Lansing
This article gives great perspective on how far (literally and figuratively) Mady has come in such a short period of time. The challenges he has overcome in such a short period are really remarkable. He is already giving back to his country in many ways.
Mali is one of the most rural and poorest countries on earth. My older brother spent two years there in the mid eighties after college serving in The Peace Corps. He literally lived in mud hut and went from village to village on a dirt bike teaching people to build mud ovens in an effort to reduce deforestation. He loves the people of Mali to this day as they are very caring and generous with what little most of them have.
Mady is already a huge success in life and has so much more success ahead of him.
