Rivals250 QB Messiah deWeaver has planned to move his announcement up a week for a couple days, but didn't want it out there until it was official. He was able to get it officially scheduled with his school today and the date is now April 22 and the announcement will be made at 6:30pm ET at his high school.
Michigan State and Kentucky have been the mainstays at the top of his list the last couple months. The way Kentucky is recruiting the QB position should tell you they are not very confident about getting Messiah. Others in play here are Penn State, Mississippi State and Louisville, but he has never visited Penn State or Mississippi State and Louisville is a school that has never been mentioned as a top contender before. So, the most likely choice at this point appears to be MSU. I talk with Messiah a lot, but he has never explicitly told me where he is going. My guess a week out, though, would be Michigan State. I'll let you know more as I hear more.
