And he arrives at Michigan State with two years of eligibility remainingMartinez is a 5-foot-11, 190-pound sophomore is coming off two highly productive seasons for UCF where he posted 75 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, six passes defended, and three interceptions.
As a sophomore season for the Knights, he started all 13 games, tied for the team lead in interceptions with three, and was fifth on the team with 54 tackles.
As a true freshman, Martinez played in all 14 games, finishing the season with 21 tackles.
He had many offers besides UCF coming out of high school, including Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Penn State, and Notre Dame, but he wanted to stay home as Apopka is a short distance from UCF.
