Michigan State men's golf finishes in 11th place at Tallahassee Regional

The Michigan State men's golf team saw its season end on Wednesday, finishing in 11th place at the Tallahassee Regional with a team total 13-over par over 54 holes. MSU finished the final day with its best round of the regional, shooting a team total of 4-under par, with three MSU golfers shooting their best individual rounds of the regional.

MSU was still in contention after shooting a team total 4-over par in the first round, but a team total 13-over par on Tuesday put the Spartans in a big hole that proved too much to overcome.

Freshman Drew Miller led MSU with a 3-over-par over 54 holes. Junior Caleb Bond finished 4-over par, while freshman Julian Menser was 5-over par. Sophomore Lorenzo Pinili finished 7-over par, and sophomore Lucas Acevedo was 8-over par.

MSU finished third at the Big Ten Championship to help bolster its resume for selection into the NCAA Tournament – the fourth straight NCAA Tournament selection for the Spartans and the ninth in the past 10 seasons.
