The Spartans were the top-ranked team in the Big Ten as well, ahead of No. 6 Minnesota, No. 7 Michigan, No. 10 Wisconsin and No. 19 Notre Dame. It's also worth noting that No. 2 Boston College travels to East Lansing for games on October 11 and 12. There is also the chance the Spartans face No. 17 Western Michigan in the Great Lakes Invitational.
