I really feel like the only missing parts are on the offensive line. I know people talk about the rb’s and receivers but if we can get a good OL going I think you see a balanced attack. This is assuming Lewerke comes back healthy and plays like his old self. The other thing I would like to see if we are going to be a power running team is a set of power running backs. Get 3 big 230# plus backs and pound green pound. Everyone wants that break away guy I would argue that doesn’t help what we want to do. Rotate these guys and no ducking out, lower shoulder and hit the linebackers and safeties every time. By the fourth quarter even avg backs will gain big yards , dominate TOP which in my way of thinking keeps your defense healthy and fresh.
I think we are 2-3 OL away from what we all want. I find it hard to believe we can’t get great OL to come here? We have the type of offense that OL project well to the next level.
