Here are MSU's drive-based stats, for offense, defense, and special teams. They are broken out by lead, by quarter, and by opponent.
A few observations:
* MSU is 15:3 (+12) in Turnover+Downs Margin
* MSU plays much, much better when the game is close than when they have a sizeable lead
* I think people will be less upset with the offense when they look at the breakdown of the results of offensive drives.
* Take away those 2 kick/punt return TDs and I think we'd be feeling much better, as those made those games much closer than just the offensive and defensive stats would predict.
