Several weeks ago, I posted some pie charts of the breakdown of majors on the full football rosters and in the 2-deeps. At the time, the UofM media guide was not out, so the data from UofM was a bit sketchy. Well, the guide is out now and I have finished the analysis. The results / conclusions really don't change, but I did promise to repost the final data once the UofM media guide came out. So, here you go:
Once again, MSU's roster shows a much better diversity of majors, and has remarkably few "no preference" players. Meanwhile, UofM still has over 50% of the 2-deeps listed as either Undeclared or General Studies. Maybe Harbaugh will clean this up, but so far, I don't see much difference between now and the diploma mill days of the past.
