Former Michigan State players Bryce Baringer (punter) and Ameer Speed (cornerback) are now, of course, playing in the NFL with the New England Patriots. Both players made impressive plays in their preseason debuts on Thursday. Baringer averaged 50 yards per punt on four attempts, and a long of 62 yards. Speed made a tackle on special teams.
