1) Monte N has a long way to go before he reaches his potential. Kid did not run at full speed on many defensive plays and certainly did not use his speed to his advantage on SP teams. He is currently playing a little "sheepish" and needs to be more aggressive all around. Lots of potential, but maybe someone needs to call him out.

2) I liked what I saw from Kings, however he never showed us what he could do in space. He did a great job playing the possession receiver role, but I want to see some YACK out of him. I would like to see the staff work on this schematically over the next few games as I think we will need this come later in the season.

3) The jets sweeps with Shelton while at times can bring the team a plus play are becoming predictable. The staff needs to become more creative with Shelton or make teams pay for jumping the sweep. I see the sweep similar to having Terry in at QB. Still want to see him in motion and things like that, just want a little more creativity.

4) I have no concerns about the run game, period. Cook does need to improve in the pass game, this will come with time. In my opinion we can offensively hold are own with anyone, especially as we get deeper in the season.

5) As many have mentioned our SP teams are atrocious. I reviewed the film several times and everytime I come away asking why and the hell are these guys jogging ( see #1 point above)? I want to see at least half the team running down the field with reckless abandonment! Its not the players, it's the scheme and it needs to get fixed, this is not MSU SP teams!

6) I love our front 7, the are playing well and its nice to see the LB's taking care of business. Keep in mind there were some key downs late in the game when R Bullough was not in the game and the subs did just fine.
I am much more comfortable with Reshke and Fry at this point and am excited for the future as they grow.

7) Copeland's the real deal. I thought for most part Oregon stayed away from him. I expect him to be our number one cover corner for the next 3 years! In saying that I'm ready to see some some changes in the secondary. Cox is great and I love his versatility but I would like to see a corner emerge so he can play safety. It will be interesting to see if Dantonio uses the next 4 games as a liptness test to see if one of the young corners is ready to make an impact. I think I'm asking a lot here but we will see.
