That was my biggest takeaway, in terms of things to work in, from last night's game. Through two games, have had very little in the way of shots down the field. Haven't even attempted them, for the most part. Will need to develop as the season goes on, otherwise we'll see more and more team's walking the safeties up and loading up to stop the run. Also makes those windows a lot tighter on short routes.
The upset of #1 ranked OSU is Columbus back when Burke was under center is the perfect example. Threw a lot of deep balls in that game. Didn't complete mamy, but the fact that they kept throwing them forced OSU to keep their safeties back.
Have to take shots.
