Air Force will be a challenge for the defense especially but ultimately I do not think a team with a mediocre passing attach will beat MSU. I would like to see the following things happen to help with the development of the depth of the team:
1. 2 to 3 of Machado, Finley, Clemons, and Beadle get a lot of playing time in the rotation behind the 5 starters of Conklin, Allen, Allen, McGowan and Clark.
2. Lyles, Troup and Arnett get increased opportunities to develop as additional depth behind the WR starters.
3. Cook gets more focused and sharper so that O'Connor and Terry get some series in all 4 of the games,
4. All 3 of the running backs get about 10-15 rushes in the game to get all of them more battle tested
5. Cox, Copeland, Nickolson and Williamson get a chance to play together and get more cohesive. Also would like to see the backups get some time to get experience in the nickle and dime package. Also need to find that clear 5th and 6th DB to provide good backups.
Mostly we need to dominate and stay healthy so we can go into Ann Arbor at 6-0 and ready to kick some butt.
