I feel like I've been too crass and grumpy in recent days. All of my posts are grumpy about something.

I think some of it is due to the fact that I need to be in four different locations this weekend and am going to half-butt three of them and miss the fourth. But that's my problem and I hate to project it onto you guys and gals.

So it's cathartic to focus on some good things.

So what can I think of that's good, what can I compliment?

Well, it's not raining. That's good. It's not snowing.

The sky is blue. I smelled cut crass a few days ago.

The fish will be biting soon.

I'll have the G-W Game on my DVR for second-viewing in the days ahead. That'll be interesting. (In the G-W Game, all 22 players on the field are relevant. It's impossible to watch all 22 at the same time. During a game in the fall, I really only watch MSU's 11 and the opponent as a whole. The G-W Game is a bigger meal to digest in some ways).

I enjoy how much college baseball is on TV these days, especially as the weekend approaches (similar to the way college hockey telecasts have increased).

I missed out on the Warriors NBA game last night largely because TNT isn't "near" the ESPN and sports channels on my AT&T menu board. I wanted to keep an eye on the Red Wings game. While doing so, I discovered/was reminded that LSU was playing A&M in baseball (No. 1 vs No. 2) and there were one or two other things going on (blackhawks vs predators). I had the Red Wings game on DVR and watched it in delay 90 minutes after the fact. Then I worked on some things. Then I saw on twitter all this stuff about how great the Warriors' comeback was. And I was like, "Darn. I didn't know that game was going on."

I'm not a guy that seeks out NBA games at this time of year. Maybe in a week or two I will. But right now I'm still in NBA regular season mode, which means I don't go hunting for games. But I WOULD stop and watch a compelling game if I had stumbled over it on the sports area of my TV menu guide. But when NBA games are on TNT, I regrettably forget that they exist.

After I saw all the buzz on Twitter, I watched the Inside the NBA show, or whatever it's called - the one with Shaq, Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie. I watched them till they went off the air. Best sports studio show ever. So I watched the post-game show and laughed out loud a few times but didn't actually watch the game. I guess that's why I suck.

But anyway, I began this post trying to write about sunny blue sky things and have regressed to explaining why I suck.

Let's see, what else can I compliment:

I like Tim Brando's show on Sirius. But I thought I heard that the show will be ending soon.

Let's see ... the new issue of Field & Stream has some good stuff in it. Streamers are underrated. But I'm unable to sneak away in the afternoon hours like I used to because of changing bus schedules.

Now I'm back to complaining.

Okay, back to trying to be positive:

My driveway needs resurfacing.

Okay, that's not positive.

I was able to get out on the town in Lansing last Friday night because a good friend of mine was in town. I approve of Michigan Brewing Company, on Washington near the Capital.

The oldster cover band at The Exchange did a good job on some difficult songs.

Looking forward to MSU vs WMU. That would be a good opportunity to stay the night in Kalamazoo and go to some interesting places, pour some drinks and tell some lies, like Bell's. But I'll probably be working well past 2 a.m. and won't have a chance to get out, so I'll just drive back to East Lansing. But others of you will have a good chance at a unique night. That'll be a fun event.
