You may have seen Nicholson slow to close on that one. And he didn't get a tackle attempt off.

He was at BOUNDARY safety for that play. MSU was using him as boundary safety and Cox as field safety, something new. Didn't look any better. I think Riley originally missed his gap, but need the safety to cover for the defense there.
