example: I see that there is a new post on the "tips and tricks" thread.
So i click on it
It takes me to a post that merely says "Thanks Bret."
I make that mistake on probably every fifth or sixth time I click on a thread. I click on something not worth clicking on. In the old thread view, I could more easily peruse which new posts were worth a flip. And if a thread was blowing up, I would hit "show all" and it would appear like a topic thread.
I post this to let the thread view people know that I feel for them, and also to defend them because they have come under attack for not being "with it."
Maybe I'm not navigating this thing properly, but if clicking on a post that says "Thanks Bret" is being "with it" then I was happier without it.
But there are some things about this board that are growing on me.
I just have to do a better job of recognizing un-compelling posts before rejoining those threads.
I feel like I'm reading more posts now (whether I want to or not). And that's probably best for me as a publisher. But it's not best for my time management.
