Looked to me like Dowell was late plugging his gap on that second-and-goal inside run.

earlier, on first and 10 at the +19, someone was out of his gap on the left side of the MSU front seven. I think it was my guy Riley Bullough.

On the second play of the drive, Nicholson missed a tackle on the hitch to the soft area on second-and-nine. That was expensive.

And the third-and-three sack at the 37 that was disallowed because of the false start was the absolute killer.


MSU's defensive front looked good stopping the run EARLY in the drive. But that edge dissipated at the drive went along and short-term fatigue sets in.

Some positive points for MSU during portions of that drive, but the third down flag sack was a killer.
