OT: I completely enjoyed zipping through my recording of Maryland vs Fullerton baseball last night. Great game. Very, very well-pitched game by both teams. Maryland won 2-1. That was last Friday's game. I don't know how the rest of the series went.
There are 13 teams in the Big Ten. As near as I can figure, there is one team every weekend that has a "bye" weekend. When a team has a bye weekend, they're doing a good job of scheduling interesting opponents. Ohio State faced Louisville last week. Maryland scheduled Fullerton, a perennial national power. MSU swept Oregon.
Maryland, Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska are in the Top 25 right now - the most I can ever remember from the Big Ten, and yet Ohio State might be the best team in the conference. Strong league. MSU is hot. I don't know a lot about MSU's pitching from top to bottom, but I will be curious, as the tournament draws near, whether Jake Boss believes his team can win the BTT. Strong league.
