I took my son to visit IWU a few weeks ago, and was surprised that the logo for the IWU Titan looks a lot like the old, gruff Sparty (that many Spartanmaggers are using as their avatars), but without the gruffness. You can see it here:

I was told by an alum that it is "well established" that Sparty stole his look from Tommy the Titan. I think MSU and IWU used to play football back in the 30s, but I'd never heard this claim before.
BTW, if there are any IWU alums or those with knowledge of what it's like to attend IWU, I'd be happy to hear about it.
