I see MSU has once again raised the tuition for 2015-2016 school year. Incoming freshman will pay approximately $14,000 per year tuition. My tuition my freshman year 1964-1965 was less then $400. We were on terms at the the time and full time tuition was around $130 a term. This is a increase of 3500%. To compare the increase in tuition cost over 51 years. I had a job the summer of 1965 working at Oldsmobile on the assembly line. I was paid $3.25 an hour and it went to $3.50 hr after 90 days plus benefits, same for every new hire whether you were leaving to go back to school or staying on as regular employee. GM would be paying it's hourly employee's $122.50 an hour or $4900 for a 40 hour week plus benefits if wages had gone up what MSU's tuition has increased. Something is wrong with the costs of higher education. These kids are going spend most of their lives paying off their student loans.
