V6 4-door Honda Accord. It has 140,000 miles on it, and I have always followed the recommended maintenance, including the proactive replacement of the timing belt. The only thing I haven't touched are the struts, which according to the manual should have been replaced 50,000+ miles ago. The car rides fine, the struts are not leaking, and tire wear is normal. Would you replace the struts? My wife is acting like I'm risking my daughter life by not dropping $1,000 right away.

Thanks in advance . . . open to both conservative and liberal opinions!
