ANN ARBOR -- Wayne Lyons is officially a Michigan Wolverine.
The former Stanford cornerback was formally announced as a member of Michigan's program Monday afternoon, and will be eligible immediately as a graduate transfer.
"We are excited about the addition of Wayne Lyons as a postgraduate student and defensive back on our football team," secondary/cornerbacks coach Mike Zordich said in a statement. "He brings great experience and ability to our secondary and special teams units. In addition, Wayne is a super individual who will achieve great things both on the field and in his future career."
The Fort Lauderdale native made 128 tackles in 43 appearances for Stanford over the past four seasons, including 4 1/2 for a loss. He also snagged three interceptions and three forced fumbles.
