Paul Finebaum Reacts To Jim Harbaugh’s Latest Tough Loss
Another season, another disappointing result for Jim Harbaugh, whose Michigan Wolverines lost to rival Michigan State on Saturday.
Michigan, which suffered its first loss of the season, led Michigan State by double digits in the second half, but the Wolverines couldn’t hold onto the lead.
The Spartans topped the Wolverines, 37-33, in East Lansing.
Notable ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum had a predictable reaction to Harbaugh’s latest tough loss.
“Well, what’s so remarkable about this story is that when he was hired from the NFL to be the head coach at Michigan, many of us thought he would become one of the top coaches in the entire country,” Finebaum said on Sunday morning. “Now, today, after what happened yesterday in East Lansing, he’s not even the best college football coach in the state of Michigan. That’s how far he has fallen.
“Nobody in college football history has ever blown more big games than Jim Harbaugh, but he’s still employed, and Michigan is stuck with him for now.”
Michigan can still win out and hope to contend for a Big Ten championship. Of course, Ohio State is standing in the Wolverines’ way. The Ann Arbor program has not defeated the Buckeyes since 2011.
