Like many... a little disappointed with the performance.... but a win is still a win.

Positives:
- L.J. Scott - loved what I saw out of the freshman. Seemed to get better as the game went on.
- Aaron Burbridge - looked like a number 1 receiver.
- Jake Hartbarger - was great in his first game... couldn't ask for more.
- Montae Nicholson - is really fluid in the way he moves out there.
- Jon Reschke - thought he played well.
- The whole D-Line- nothing on the ground, Western just basically gave up on running the ball.
- TE blocking - go back and watch the first qtr. and watch #11 Jamal Lyles, Really bad!
- Connor Cook's accuracy - just too many inaccurate throws. Not a bad game, just not good enough to beat good teams
- Tackling - a lot of missed tackles in that second half. Not sure if it was effort related or they were gassed. (Bullough, Cox)
- Overall effort level - just didn't see it last night. The O-Line was not finishing blocks and the defense didn't rally to the ball like we are accustomed to seeing.
- Another blown coverage TD - just cant give up gimme TDs to teams
