What do you think about college football introducing the idea of a pre-season game. Just 1 game. It would be a huge financial windfall for the schools and they could do a home and home with another power 5 conference school so they would get the gate every other year. You could do it in mid August. It would NOT be a game for many of your starters but it would be more of a program development game where most of your redshirt frosh and true frosh play and play the guys that are fighting in position battles.
They do this same concept already - they are called closed scrimmages where they play each other. I'm just suggesting they play another team and put it on TV and offer cheap tickets for the fans to see the new players and who will be the future playmakers.
Thoughts?
