Terrible news on Davis. I agree with Comp- most underrated player maybe in college football.

Our depth experience wise reminds me of MSU 2011. A lot of young bucks with some game experience in the form of Denicos and Max trying to replace Greg Jones and Eric Gordon. I was very concerned due to their lack of experience. In the end, we ended up alright.

So who's in the pool?
I think we can go two routes:
1) Bullough and Harris stay put and rotate Martinez/Frey or Thompson at that spot
2) Bullough due to his knowledge of the D goes out to money. Reschke steps in at mike, Harris stays put.

I think option 2 is very risky because we don't know if Reschke is ready finally.

IMO we go option one. Still try to play 6- Reschke and Riley at mike, Harris and Harrell at star, and Frey and Martinez at money. You increase the experience of the group and keep the speed/skill at a premium. Just my two cents.

Given this loss, do you think this serves as an indirect impetus of a move of D Williams to LB where Paul and Dorsey have always wanted him if I'm not mistaken. I don't think it would help the issue this year but if he shirts he may prove useful there next year. Just a thought.
