Questions from the game?

Was not the prettiest game ever but it brings us to 4-0! Be sure to get your questions into us while they're fresh in your mind and we will address them in this shows this week.

Some quick thoughts:

1) MSUs biggest challenge in the next few weeks might be simply remaining healthy! While I don't think that the injuries from the game will be season long for anyone, seeing Conklin, Price, Williamson and others down on the field is never a good sight.

2) It is a game of momentum! CMU was able to stay in the game as a result of big plays. Credit their QB and receivers for making plays. To beat us, you need explosive plays that keep drives alive. CMU did a good job of finding the gaps. Shilique came up big at the end of the game with great stops and the momentum carried over to the offense.

3) It was great to see the special teams play a good game. Geiger's 47 yarder was a huge boost to his confidence. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get hot in the next few games after that. The missed PAT looked like an alignment issue with the left guard. I'm sure that will be addressed this week. Not sure if the coaching staff is asking for kickoffs to be squibs or not. They were not pretty but they were effective.

4) I was a little bit surprised to see so many penalties in this game. Through the first three games, we looked very disciplined. Less so today. If we are focused throughout the game and eliminate penalties, it will be hard for teams to hang with us for four quarters.

5) I would love to see us utilize the talent at tight end more than we have been doing. Price is a go to option in the redzone. Lang and Lyles came up big with first down catches late as well. If we can make these guys more of a threat we should be able to make life much easier for the RBs and WRs.
