1. Amazing that we just beat a National Title Contender and many of the posts here are about flaws and improvement. I think it is a sign of collective maturity. There is a real sense here this could be building to something really special.

2. I kept waiting for Connor Cook to pull the ball down and scramble for a first down. I kept waiting for a QB option or designed run or even a zone read called. Never happened. I wonder if those plays are now off the table? You have a senior QB with NFL aspirations. Is the staff protecting Cook's future? Will we see designed or spontaneous QB runs this season? We haven't seen any in the first two games. I think without the threat of Cook running, the offense loses a dimension it has had the past 2 seasons.

3. I loved how seamless MSU handled Kodi Keiler's injury last night. Next man up and there was no drop off in efficiency or production. In the past, Keiler would have been replaced by someone unable or unprepared to play. This staff is prepared and injuries will not stop this team. Hats off to Miguel Machado and Benny McGowan for filling in.

4. I hope MSU doesn't settle on one guy at RB. Madre London and LJ Scott are both too talented to sit. To think they both are just freshman and will be carrying the ball well into the future is amazing. I wonder if we will see the day both play at the same time? That would present serious problems for a defense.
