My grandson, just finishing his freshman year of high school, has always been a UM fan. He doesn't seem to follow college sports like a religion, but has his bedroom painted with 2 blue walls and two yellow ones. I think part of his stick is to agitate his Poppa. Anyway, I saw him Monday night (we live 2+ hours apart) and we were going through our usual trash talk when he says, "I only root for UM because I like to root for the underdog".
This certainly gives evidence to the fact that, to those in high school or younger, UM is the "little brother" and MSU is the big dog.
