First let me say. There is no greater joy for a parent than to see your child happy. When my son came out of the tunnel he literally had an expression of pure joy and happiness on his face that I have never seen. He literally had to be thinking (This must be what heaven feels like) Thats how happy he was. I got a little emotional watching him.
Sat next to Mark Chmura last night. Super nice guy. Talked my head off. He does ESPN radio in Milwaukee now as a full time job and loves it. He is an enormous man and looks as though he could still play. Through out the game he was a little puzzled by MSU’s first down play calling. Felt we should mix in the pass more. (Couldn’t agree more.) His wife owns and runs one of the largest Auto body shops in the country. He feels both London and Scott are NFL backs and that MSU has the second best O-line in the country behind Bama.
Has some very strong opinions on Urban Myer and confirmed the co-ed stories out of Florida that we all have talked about on here. He had many other interesting things to say about John Gruden and many others. There’s a reason Gruden is out of football.
There were over 80,000 in that stadium and I bet there were 200,000 outside partying. I have never seen cars parked alongside Mount Hope Rd and Farm Lane because that parking lot on Farm Lane is full... Campus was wall to wall people.Im sorry.... But there is no way a kid and family cant come away from that campus and be wowed. Unless you just flat out hate MSU or you’re a Wolverine.
Craig Evans played GREAT and was a force inside on several occasions. (Did he hear Paul K?) What an improvement between week 1 and 2.
John Reschke's Dad is a HUGE and very nice man..
Frey’s family is great and are so proud of him. Fry had some massive hits.
Cox played a MASSIVE game last night as well as did Copeland. Copland is our next lockdown, first round corner in time and if he stays healthy. Arjen can be a liability at corner imo. I’ve never seen a corner get lost in coverage playing man but it happened twice and almost cost us the game if Vernon Adams had not overthrown his receiver in the closing minutes of the 4th quarter. There is a reason he hasn’t played much. Time to introduce some more freshman corners imo.
I posted this before the WMU game and I’ll stick to it. Geiger is a concern. If people cant see that by now your kidding yourself. Again. Just my opinion so fire away.
Did not know Oregon does so much chop blocking.
MSU player families are classy. You understand why most of the kids are such good kids.
Our D lineman get held A LOT.... A LOT!
Vernon Adams. Has my respect... Way better than I thought he’d be for a guy just on campus for 3-4 weeks... That left handed throw? Damn..
Coach D. I could just watch him on the sideline. The guy is so cool under fire. There were times he got frustrated (especially on Oregon’s opening drive) with the rotation. We were a little out of sorts on that...I’m all for keeping guys fresh but not at the expense of having our best on best during critical plays.
Just my opinion and only my opinion but Mark Synder has ruined our special teams. Time to put Tressel back in charge. Special teams are incredibly undisciplined.
