Went down with a knee injury in the final five minutes of last week's victory over San Jose State.
The replacement started a couple of games in 2013 before being replaced by the guy who was injured.
I happened to be watching when the starter went down. AFA played a double wing formation for most of the game with the triple option. Then the QB got hurt, and the new QB came in for about six or seven plays and they didn't run the double-wing option once. They went most to I formation and ran leads and power.
I don't know if that means they are a different team with the new guy in, or they didn't want a second QB to go down in the late going.
The head coach (Calhoun) isn't saying much about the new QB's style of play at this point, see story below (but film of his starts from the 2013 season will certainly be a hot commodity in the msu football building this week).
