Going into the draft, I would have bet Cook would have been drafted in the 1st round. Can't believe it's any character issue causing him to drop. Maybe the shoulder is an issue, maybe it's his accuracy and/or footwork.
The silver lining is.. perhaps replacing Cook at QB will not be as daunting as once thought. He's the winningest QB in MSU history, that is not in doubt, but maybe that's partly a product of being a 3 year starter. And being surrounded by excellent talent and coaching. Maybe Cousins was just as good, but the program wasn't as developed at that point. Maybe O'Connor is just as good. Time will tell.
