Keeping Bullough at MIKE and just going with Frey and possibly Reschke.

As a coach in multiple sports I have had to make the decision of going with a back-up or moving a starter to that injured position and going with that back-up. I think 80% of the time you end up making 2 positions weaker which defeats the purpose.

I think this is what MSU did last year and results were questionable. Taiwan Jones was a very good OLB. MSU had him bulk up and play the middle. IMOP MSU was weaker at 2 spots. If they would have just gone with Harris at MIKE and left Jones at SAM I think MSU would have been better against spread teams.

Coach always talk about getting best 11 on the field and IMO that is why they move the starter over, but sometimes that is not the best move.

I think people will be surprised with Frey as a pass rusher and his ability to stop the run. The key will be his ability is pass coverage. With that being said, I saw him at a camp make a few exceptional INT's covering RB's out of teh backfield.
