national magazine and in the end I realized that I think they are all pretty weak. Just some ridiculous stuff in all of them.
I am always looking for that source that I see as informed and objective and it is tough to find.
A few things I did come away with....
1) I think Nebraska's front 4 will be as good as anyone in Big Ten if they stay healthy.
2) I think the UM/PSU game is very intriguing, I think it could define which team is going to step up and be a contender in 2016/17 and which is still a pretender.
3) I could be wrong, but I like NW to get "back on track " a bit. The first two games....Minny at home and at UM could determine a lot. They have a veteran defense that is going to keep things close vs teams that do not have dynamic offenses.
4) I have no idea what to make of Minny. I thought they were somewhat of a fraud last year, but David Cobb and the TE they had were studs. They return a lot on defense which is a start. David Cobb kind of burst on the scene in 2014 and between Williams, Berkley Edwards and Jeff Jones you would think they may find a bell-cow for 2015. If they do, 8 wins is again a possibility.
5) OSU's talent in two-deep is VERY impressive. Looking at last years box score both Cook and Barrett through for 300+ and Elliott and Langford both had huge games. MSU's D won't get gauged as easy as they did last year you can bet on that. That game IMO is a FG one way or another.
