His comments about us being a recent success and using our offer as leverage to get an OSU offer just rub me the wrong way. Here's his comments.
"It feels pretty good [to have the Michigan State offer]," Bockhorst said. "It's obviously a big Midwest school and they've had some recent success and I really like the coaching staff. It's a very good program and school as a whole package, so I'm very excited."
The offer from Michigan State came at somewhat of an interesting time as Bockhorst was attending camp at a school that is the Spartans biggest competition for recruits and for championships.
"It's kind of funny that the offer came while I was at Ohio State. I've learned in recruiting that nothing is ever normal and nothing ever seems very normal, so you've just got to go with the flow. Michigan State said the offer could be coming today and it just so happens I got in touch with coach Mark Dantonio at lunch today, so that's how it went down. I don't have any complaints because an offer is an offer. "I think it's good for the Ohio State coaching staff to know. If guys see they have some competition and that maybe pushes them to have an offer out a little earlier, then I guess that benefits me."
