Illinois and Michigan have 15 4-stars combined. Maryland has 14 alone! Throw in DC and that makes 19. Illinois and DC have the same amount of 4-star level recruits?
So somehow despite having 3x the population, Maryland has as much talent as two states that play very solid HS football.
As someone who spent half my life in Maryland, that is way over-valuing talent in that state. Not sure how that happens? Then again there was only 1 Ohio player and zero Indiana players at the Rivals 100 Camp. If it was not for the Michigan kid that camp would of had almost no Midwest representation. I understand why Roberston and Mack did not make it as they had local commitments. With that said, the lack of Ohio talent was shocking.
