EAST LANSING, Mich. – Returning from the holiday break, the Michigan State track & field team returns to indoor action at the Wolverine Invitational in Ann Arbor, Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 11.
The bulk of the Spartans competing on Saturday are throwers and sprinters.
In the field events, the meet will get started at 10 a.m. with the women's weight throw, where Elly Finch, Rylan Finstrom, Valadian Pallett and Eriana Hubbard will all be in action. Finch, Finstrom and Savannah Breitwiser will also compete in the women's shot put.
Five Spartans will be in action in the men's weight throw, including Colby Morlock, Josh DeVries, Dalton DeBeau, Dillon Morlock and Xavier Griffiths. Both Morlocks and DeBeau will also compete in the shot put later in the day.
The running events will begin at 11 a.m. with the prelims of the women's 60m hurdles. Veteran sprinters Kaia Scheffler and Amani Nuels will be competing in the 60m dash, while Scheffler will also compete in the 60m hurdles. Noah Heiber and Logan Allen will be in action in the men's 60m hurdles, while Cameron Cheetam and Drew Novak will join them in the 60m dash. Elizabeth Anderson and Terrance Muex will also be in action in the women and men's 300m, respectively.

Following the Wolverine Invitational, the Spartans will travel back to Ann Arbor next weekend for the Simmons-Harvey Invitational in Ann Arbor on Saturday, Jan. 18.
