Ok hey I'm gonna try something here. Hopefully we can use this thread to continue to update status of our former players in the league.
Please note that we can use this thread to update status of guys that are locks to be on a roster but the notes below only pertain to those who are still trying to find their footing.
We are approaching cut downs (Saturday) for rosters and final preseason game for all teams is tomorrow night (Thursday). I for some reason have a huge interest in tracking our guys' success at the next level so I follow this stuff. I will post updates in this thread and will do the same.
At present, here are some reads:
Miami - I am hearing that Lippett is on the bubble. Unfortunate. Trying to come back from an Achilles tear. He was a solid CB2/3 before the injury.
Langford is not going to make the team. I guess he might have a chance to be a (P)ractice (S)quad add.
Denver - Peko should make the team. I don't think Rush will.
Chicago - Dion Sims is in. Bennie Fowler is on the bubble.
Tampa Bay - I think Big Will makes it. I think Riley Bullough makes it (or at worst gets signed to PS - they like him). Worthy gets cut.
Carolina - Reading tea leaves I suspect that neither Cox nor Frey make the 53. I think both have a chance to hook on with their Practice squad.
Oakland - Tough read here. Cook had a very good camp, great performance in their first preseason game but has been dreadful since and has the media searching for a QB2 in Oakland. I think the staff sees a lot of potential and will keep him on as the backup. Calhoun - has made a strong case but is on the roster bubble. I think he makes it as one of the last few "kept" because of his Special Teams contributions.
San Fran - Burb is on the bubble. He's still practice squad eligible so don't be surprised if he's cut and signed to the PS.
Houston - Drummond isn't making the team. Heath is probably 80% to make it.
Seattle - Holmes has not shot to make the team. His best hope is to show well in tomorrow night's game and get signed to another team's practice squad.
Rams - Brian Allen is the backup Center. I think a lock. Haven't heard anything to indicate otherwise.
Jets - LT is on the bubble.
Titans - Conklin coming back from Injury. he's one of the best RTs in the league. No concerns.
Vikings - Um, QB1. Captain Kirk is gonna thrive. Trae is their CB2. He's good. But Xavier Rhoades is better. Josiah Price tore his knee up and is out for the year. Probably injury settlement.
If I missed anything let me know.
