Jonathan Smith announced the Spring Showcase format today to the media.
The team's won't be split up like maybe your more traditional spring game. It will just be offense vs. defense. The defense will start with the lead (not sure by how many points yet) and the offense will have to play catch up. Smith said they will try to get in four quarters of 10 minutes of running clock.
"The clock's going to run and we're going to try to create a game-like atmosphere for most of it," Smith said.
This is definitely a welcome change to what the previous regime did. We will see about 40 minutes of scrimmaging on Saturday.
