Matt Wells was the guy who put together that excellent Utah State team that took Michigan State to the wire a few years ago and had one of the most prolific offenses in the country.

They fired him after two and a half seasons. One of those seasons, of course, was the COVID season.

Texas Tech is 5-3 right now.

Tech lost to Kansas State 25-24 over the weekend. Was leading 24-10 and "blew" a two-TD lead.

So if they don't blow that lead, Tech is 6-2.

I don't know who in the hell Texas Tech thinks they are, but this is kind of funny.

That being said, Tech may very have lost its last four and finished 5-7 with Wells, and then maybe you can fire him. Last four games are Oklahoma, OK State, Iowa State and Baylor. Or maybe the A.D. was worried he might upset Oklahoma and wanted him out before hand.

This from an athletic director who fired Cliff Kingsbury.

There are rumblings they might be interested in Art Briles. If so, I'll vomit a little bit.
