I think a lot of us thought this type of class would have happened after the 2010 or 2011 season. No disrespect to the 2011 and 2012 recruiting classes, they were very good, but it's obvious MSU is currently recruiting from a position of strength that we haven't seen in a very long time. There were rumors back in 2011 and 2012 that some of the MSU coaches were a little frustrated with how recruiting was going. They thought after 11 wins seasons, life should have been a bit easier on the recruiting trail. Whether those rumors were true or not, I don't know. What I do know is MSU was missing out on a lot of really good recruits. And I would assume, like the fans, the coaches did feel some frustration. MSU was still stacking very good classes, but it was misisng out on a few impact players in each class. Now? MSU is stacking VERY GOOD classes, and there appears to be several more impact type players. This has to be scary for the rest of the Big Ten.
Good times. Now MSU needs another 10+ win season. Gotta keep this train rolling.
