From the four players that were made available to us today for interviews (Burbridge, Joel Heath, Jack Conklin, Demetrious Cox), I am hearing that Jermaine Edmondson has stepped up his game at cornerback.
Demetrious Cox began the spring as a no. 1 CB, with Darian Hicks and Vayante Copeland listed as co-No. 1s on the other side.
Today, the coaches rotated Cox back to safety to being practice. Montae Nicholson was the other safety. Copeland and Edmondson were the No. 1 CBs.
And then for the second half practice, Cox moved back to CB, and RJ Williamson moved back to a No. 1 safety position.
Darian Hicks is still in the picture, but isn't off to as good a start this spring as Edmondson.

Conklin said Aaron Burbridge has taken his game up a level. He's had a very good start to the spring and I suspect that's why Burbridge was made available to us today. Burbridge is a quiet guy. Media interviews aren't his thing. MSU could put other players out there for better sound bites, but the fact that Burbridge was available coincides with word from various sources that Burbridge has been tearing it up.
AJ Troup has also been playing real well, according to players.

When asked about defensive players, Conklin talked about Demetrious Cooper. He predicted that Cooper is the type of guy that could have 8 to 10 sacks in a season. He says Cooper "has a heck of a spin move."
Conklin said DE Lawrence Thomas is learning to play with more physicality.
