Have the visiting team go into the tunnel first and then into their locker room first. The home team should stay on the field and celebrate with their fans, and then only go into the tunnel and locker room when all the visiting players are in their locker room. That simple procedure would take 5 minutes and cost nothing. If the Big Ten officials really want to prevent these fights, they will enact this rule over UM’s intransigence. And have the home team go to the opposite end zone away from the tunnel so there’s no chance of team’s players bumping into each other at the end of the game. And then enforce transgressions by individual players with one or two game suspensions.
